Hello beauties!
Today I’ll be reviewing this moisturiser from The Ordinary. The Ordinary has been so heavily raved about in 2017 so I was keen to see the hype in their products. I received this for my birthday last year, and it was one of the first TO products I’ve tried.

Directions:
“Apply after serums as needed for effective surface hydration.”
First Impressions:
- Packaging
I really liked the packaging. The box is a very simple design and isn’t bombarded with information.
The tube itself is very nice and simple in design.
- Size
It’s quite small – 30ml. It’s not even the size of my whole hand!
- Bit hard to dispense
Because of how the tube was designed, I found that it was hard to dispense the product out evenly.
- Thick
It is very thick. This came as a bit of a shock to me because I’m use to light, gel-form moisturisers.
Dispensed product Rubbed in product Product once it’s absorbed
Overall:
I like the packaging, but I will have to fault it when it comes to dispensing the product out. It is a bit smaller than I imagined, but for the price it retails at, I can’t really say it’s unaffordable.
As I mentioned above and seen in the pictures above, it’s quite thick, and I’m not a fan of thick moisturisers. It absorbs nicely, but I found my skin to feel quite greasy after applying this.
I don’t use it on my face anymore, because I don’t like how it feels, but I recommend it as a hand cream because it’s very moisturising. If you have dry skin, this might be suitable for you due to the hydration, but for me, I’ll have to give it a pass.
I wouldn’t purchase this in the future either.
Have any of you beauties tried this before? What were your thoughts?
With love,
Irene (icxbeauty)
