Meet me Mondays with Cindy – @cdangbeauty

Hello everyone!

I’m back with a new interview this Monday.

This month I am interviewing the lovely Cindy from @cdangbeauty. I have been following Cindy for a very long time now, probably since I started out so I’m glad she expressed interest in being interviewed! Keep reading to find out more about her 🙂

Can you tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Cindy Dang. I am 22 years old, Vietnamese gal born and raised in western Sydney, Australia.

I am currently on my last semester of my Bachelor of Arts (Pathway to primary teaching) at Western Sydney University but have 1.5 years of masters to complete in order to be qualified to teach.

I mostly enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and exercising, it helps me clear my head. I find myself watching YouTube during my free time. I am obsessed with dogs but don’t have a fur baby yet (but will soon in the future). I enjoy shopping and eating (who doesn’t?). I do enjoy playing around with make up, but sometimes I find it overwhelming.

I love all your makeup looks, they’re so flawless! What would you say are your top three go-to beauty products to achieve a flawless face?
Aww thank you, most of the time I don’t know what I’m doing.

Having a good skin care regime is essential to achieve a flawless face. Just imagine a nice smooth blank canvas before painting, the paint will go on better compared to a rough dirty canvas. So, finding your own skin care product that works for your skin is essential!

Find a foundation that works with your skin type, it will make your skin look flawless and less cakey. It doesn’t need to be a foundation that is super expensive, who knows, a good drug store foundation may work wonders. Also, working with a beauty sponge will help achieve a flawless finish.

Lastly, use setting spray, my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray is my “can’t leave the house without spraying” kind-of-thing.

What’s your skin type and favourite skincare product at the moment?
(You can name 2 if you can’t choose between them)

My skin type is combination.

It gets really really dry during winter, if I get lazy to moisturise. My favourite skin care product right now is the Cosrx oil-free ultra-moisturising lotion (with Birch Sap). I apply this moisturiser in the morning after toning and again at night time. My skin looks really luminous and hydrated every time I wake up. I am also a huge fan of Estee Lauder’s advanced night repair, I feel like the two skincare products works really well on my skin.

I also love this moisturiser, you can check out my review here.

I see from your IG that you’re into flowers/floristry, where did your love for that stem from?

My Mum’s family side has always been flower and plant lovers, especially my grandpa. I’m pretty sure I got it from him.

Is there any public figure that you’d like to meet?
I actually want to meet Tara Milk Tea from Instagram. I love her content and her sense of style. I would love to spend a day with her to see how she photographs her content and how she edits her work. Honestly, she’s such a queen, I sometimes get lost on her page because her feed is amazing!

What is your favourite store to shop for all things beauty?
Mecca!

Do you prefer books or movies?
Books 100%.

Are there any TV shows that you’re watching at the moment?
I currently don’t watch any TV shows at the moment but my top three favourites are, Friends, Gossip Girl and How I met your Mother.

I do watch YouTube, the channels that I watch are:  Its Judys Life, Wahlie TV and Strictly Dumpling. I’ve been following Judy’s life for a good 4/5-ish years now and I just love her family. Wah and Weylie from Wahlie TV are just relatable people, I love their humour and their dogs. Lastly, I follow Strictly Dumpling because I love watching him eat good food around the world.

What are some of your future goals?
  1. To get properly qualified and trained in the make up or florist industry as a side job after finishing university.
  2. To be able to run non-stop again for 5km. I am training for City2Surf, it will be my first marathon. I’m scared but really excited.
  3. Stress less and explore more new things.

Where can we find you on social media?
