What is Blithe Skincare?*

Hello everyone!

I’m super excited about this blog post today because I’ll be reviewing some products from Blithe Skincare, thanks to Style Korean‘s ‘Try Me, Review Me‘. For those who don’t know, Style Korean is a Korean retailer for all K-Beauty. I was lucky enough to be chosen for the Blithe Skincare event and I received four products:

• Anti-Polluaging Cleansing Water Himalayan Pink Salt
• Vital Treatment 8 Nourishing Beans
• Patting Water Pack Energy Yellow Citrus and Honey
• Pressed Serum Tundra Chaga

I became familiar with the brand a few months ago when I heard raving reviews about the patting water/splash mask. I found that Sephora stocked the brand but the prices were so inflated that I didn’t think it was worth it. I also came across some of their products on Ebay, but I’m a bit cautious of Ebay as I’ve never shopped from there before. Anyways, I’m incredibly grateful that Style Korean chose me for this!

Anti-Polluaging Cleansing Water:

Cleansing water, enriched with 44% Himalayan pink salt minerals, gently but effectively removes dirt and even very persistent makeup.

Himalayan pink salt provides detox and protection of the skin from the effects of the environment, and 10 natural extracts, moisturizing and nourishing the skin, making it soft and radiant.

This is more than a cleansing water: it copes with persistent makeup and at the same time softens and moisturizes the skin without causing irritation and a feeling of tightness. Suitable even for sensitive skin. Does not contain parabens, mineral oils, sulfates.

Directions:

Apply a little to the cotton pad and cleanse the face.

In areas with the most persistent makeup, hold the cotton pad for a few seconds to dissolve the makeup.

Does not require washing off.

Ingredients:

First impressions:

Love the packaging outside and inside, it’s very durable. I noticed that this and all the other products don’t have any English on them – which I think is a bit inconvenient because you have to look up how to use the products and everything etc.

I found the lid to be quite hard to twist off as well. The cleansing water had a foil seal on it and the product comes out of a small hole.

Despite it being a cleansing water, the texture is a bit thicker than water and the product smells nice as well. It claims that it doesn’t need to be washed off but it leaves a bit of a..not greasy but similar kind of texture behind on the skin.

Overall:

I enjoyed using this cleansing water, it’s the second one I’ve ever used. I wish the hole was a bit bigger, to allow more product to come out at a time.

It didn’t irritate my skin at all and is indeed very gentle in removing makeup, as well as cleansing my face.

I do see this working well for those who have to work fast in the morning, or want to remove as much makeup/cleanse quickly at night as well – just pour onto a cotton pad and swipe it all over your face.

If you wear more makeup i.e. a full face, you may need to use a whole lot more OR look towards like a cleansing balm or oil. I find that cleansing waters are good for simple makeup. On a day to day basis I don’t wear a whole lot of makeup, generally for work or uni or even going out I’d just do brows, concealer, liner, highlighter, blush and some lip colour and when I come home and want to take my makeup off ASAP, I’d use the cleansing water to quickly remove some makeup and then go in for a deeper clean once I’m in the bathroom.

Would I recommend this product?

Yes. I did find it enjoyable and it worked well for my skin. I’d recommend it for my reasons above.

Would I purchase this product?

I’m leaning more towards the no side – I already have a few other cleansing products that I’d like to finish first.

Perhaps one day I would purchase it, but it’s a no at this moment in time.

Vital Treatments:

Packed with eight different peptide and vitamin-rich beans, including lentils, black beans, and red beans, the bouncy and light liquid rejuvenates dull skin for a youthful effect. The Vitamin E-filled ‘pulp’ efficiently delivers nourishment, helping to slow signs of aging while invigorating skin.

Directions:

Gently pat a dime-sized amount onto face in a circular motion after cleansing, and then follow with usual skincare routine. Pat gently onto the skin in a circular motion and follow with a deeply hydrating moisturizer or cream.

First Impressions:

It has a seal on this as well, the plug kind. The packaging is very sturdy and I like how you can see the little bead-like things.

The texture is kind of like a bit thick, like…starchy, if that makes sense. It melts into the skin easily.

I also think the hole is kind of small on this one.

Overall:

It can get a bit bothersome to pour this out. I usually pour it out onto my palm and then pat it into my skin.

My skin feels very hydrated and nourished from using this. As for lifting, I’m not sure I see lots of results. I may have to use it longer to see more results.

It smells quite pleasant, it’s not overpowering or anything.

Also, the bead-like things I mentioned before, they do ‘pop’ once pushed against the skin. I find this kind of fun haha.

Would I recommend this product?

Yes. I enjoyed this one as well and I still stick with my concern on it. I also found that it had made my skin smoother and supple.

Would I purchase this product?

Yes. I put this in the serum/ampule/essence stage because I apply my products from thinnest to thickest. I really like the little bead-like things haha. I feel they add a bit of a ‘boost’ to my skin.

Patting Water Pack:

Inspired by the Korean bathhouse tradition of splashing botanical steeped water onto the face after cleansing to tone and brighten skin, splash masks are a game-changing in-shower treatment. Just splash and pat onto the face for results in as little as 15 seconds. This liquid mask treatment delivers traditional moisturizing benefits along with gentle exfoliation. Formulated with a lactic acid blend and enriched with botanical extracts, the Energy Yellow Citrus & Honey Splash Mask reveals smoother skin and leaves the face feeling refreshed and glowing. It’s formulated with citrus extracts and honey, aiding in brightening and energizing dull, tired skin.

Directions:

– Pour a capful of Splash Mask in the shower.

– Splash and pat on the face, avoiding the eye and lip area.

– Use the water from the shower to splash and rinse off the face.

– Repeat a few times.

– After shower, follow with usual skin care steps.

– To use by the sink, pour a capful of Splash Mask into a clean bowl of water. (The ideal ratio of formula to water is 1:100, so a capful requires 700ml of water).

– Stir with finger tips, then use to splash generously onto face.

– Gently pat face until damp, not wet.

– Follow with usual skin care steps.

– Each bottle has enough formula for 30 uses.

Ingredients:

First Impressions:

This comes in a ‘small’ bottle and smells like citrus (duh).

The first time I used it, it stung a little. It says to use a capful, but I found half a cap was enough. I did it via the shower method. I will do it again but via the sink method and list it below.

The texture is like water but a bit thicker.

I didn’t notice immediate results from using it.

Via the sink method I found that it can be a bit time consuming and bothersome to do this. I tried it at night and in the morning – I only do it in the morning if I have time.

It can get a bit messy but I find that you get better use(?) from diluting it and splashing over the sink.

When I do it in the shower I probably lose more product as it doesn’t ALL come in contact with my face – hope that makes sense. I just find that I tend to waste more when I use it in the shower.

Overall:

After a few uses I did notice a change in my complexion, it looked more glowy and healthier. Would love to see how well the end results are once I’ve finished the bottle.

It’s recommended for 1-2 times a day, but I can only do once a day because like I said, it can be a bit time consuming.

I do think you will get a lot of use from this bottle, I think over 30 even.

Would I recommend this product?

Hmm…I’m not too sure. I would probably like to see more results before I can decide whether I recommend it or not.

Would I purchase this product?

I’d like to try the others in the range, but at this moment in time I’m not too sure.

Maybe in the future I would.

Pressed Serum:

This Pressed Serum is fortified with chaga mushroom extract, which is cold-processed to preserve the mushroom’s optimal nutrients. The extract is combined with a blend of fermented oils—including olive and argan— to provide the skin with lasting hydration while protecting against harsh climates and pollution. It minimizes visible signs of aging and pollution, nourishes, and supports skin without heaviness.

Directions:

Spread a pea-size amount of Pressed Serum all over the face and neck after cleansing and toning.

Ingredients:

* Chaga Mushroom Extract minimises the look of fine lines and the appearance of rough skin.

* Fermented Olive Oil locks in hydration without heaviness.

* Fermented Argan Oil softens and hydrates

* Meadowfoam Seed Oil nurtures and energises skin.

First Impressions:

I like that it has a spatula – hygienic, but I didn’t like how the spatula would always fall out whenever I opened the jar. It’s like it can’t stay in place.

The texture of it is so nice and I love how it looked once I opened it.

It reminded me of caramel in texture and colour. It felt very nice against the skin and has a distinct smell – kind of like flowers.

It also has many great ingredients.

Overall:

I did find that it helped keep my skin feeling moisturised for longer. I also found that it’s easy to use and really melts into the skin as well. It reminds me of a cleansing balm – in terms of texture and how it sinks into the skin.

I’ve never used a pressed serum before and it was kind of interesting for me to experience something like it.

I didn’t notice much firmness – may also be related to a more long term use of the product, but I will give it extra points for keeping my skin more hydrated.

Would I recommend this product?

Yes. I don’t struggle with particularly dry skin but this did help prolong the moisture in my skin. I use it before moisturiser and I find that it just boosts my skin a little bit more and keeps my skin feeling soft and hydrated throughout the day.

Would I purchase this product?

Yes. I really liked using this as well. Love the packaging and the addition of the little spatula. I only needed a bit for my whole face and I think it will still last me some time.

Overall, I really enjoyed trying out these products and am very thankful for StyleKorean choosing me for it! I would love to try more Blithe products once I’m done with these ones.
