Review: Resibo Eye Cream*

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to another post, today I’ll be reviewing the Resibo Eye Cream* I’ve previously reviewed another Resibo product which you can check out here. Ever since I’ve become aware of Resibo products, I instantly fell in love with their packaging! Once I found out more about the brand, I fell in love with their philosophy. This eye cream retails for $46.99, and you can purchase it here.

It pushes out your wrinkles, reduces bags under eyes and swelling, illuminates eye gaze. Helps you regain comfort you miss.

It is a unique product, not only because of its action, but also because of the pleasure brought by its application. It is very light and works great as a makeup base. It has a mild, delightful scent, which brings upon a good mood and encourages regular use. It moisturises, which is crucial for the skin below the eyes. This area does not have sebaceous glands; therefore, it is the very first place where wrinkles appear. In this tiny bottle you will find 15 ingredients that enhance skin hydration level properly, including argan oil, sesame oil and rhubarb root extract. Skin in the eye area becomes smooth and wrinkles are lessened from the inside out, mainly due to extract from resin of the Commiphora Mukul tree, which is native to India. Caffeine and Butcher’s broom rhizome extract improve blood circulation, which results in reducing dark circles and puffiness around eyes. And lemon peel extract helps to clear the skin and reduce swelling as it increases blood vessels permeability and improves their durability.

Directions:

Gently tap a small amount of the product with your fingertips. The best results are obtained by regular application on cleansed skin, in the morning and in the evening.

First impressions:

I love the packaging! It came in a cardboard box and the details are just so beautiful. I was so amazed to see that it has a lock pump! I love when products have some sort of security piece, because I’d hate for it to accidentally leak or anything.

On the actual eye cream packaging, it says it improves microcirculation, reduces bags under eyes and wrinkles, and I have pretty bad under eye bags so I was interested to see how effective this eye cream would be!

On the back it also says ‘96.9% natural’ and they have this on all of their products too – what percentage of it is natural.

I used 1 pump and found that that was way too much. I used my ring finger to gently pat it into my skin and it didn’t absorb as easily as I thought, but if you just keep patting it should be fine.

It has a noticeable scent to it, it kind of reminds me of flowers.

What I like:

  • Packaging

Resibo really nails their packaging, I’m a fan!

  • Lock pump

As I mentioned above, I love that it has a lock feature.

  • Reduced appearance of under eye bags

I compared a photo from July to now and have found that my under eye bags aren’t as dark as before. They’re still not gone, but it’s a bit of an improvement.

  • Moisturising

I don’t suffer from dry under eyes, but this keeps my under eyes in check.

  • You don’t need a lot of product

I use half a pump to cover both eyes and it’s more than enough to be honest.

What I don’t like:

  • Close expiry date

I started using this in late August/early September and it expires next month and I don’t think I’ll be able to finish it in time since I don’t need a whole lot.

  • Doesn’t absorb into the skin as easily

I think it’s because this eye cream is a bit heavier than ones I’ve previously used, I’m just used to a thinner texture. I find that I have to dab a few times before it’s absorbed into the skin.

Overall:

I’m impressed that this actually helped my under eye bags, because I’m a bit skeptical of eye creams, I usually use them for extra hydration and what not. As listed above, it works well and I love the look and function of the packaging, but I’m just a bit disappointed that I might not be able to finish it by the expiry date.

Thanks for reading this weeks blog post, there will be another Resibo review up in a few days so keep an eye out for that one. Do you have a favourite eye cream? Let me know in the comments!

With love,

Irene
