Review: Resibo Smoothing Face Serum #gifted

Welcome back everyone!

Today I will be reviewing the Smoothing Face Serum by Resibo*.

For those who don’t know,  Resibo is a Polish brand based on natural, carefully selected ingredients. They are also vegan, biodegradable and versatile. Resibo products are over 96% natural products. They have other products in their range – cleansing oil, ultra moisturising cream, eye cream, nourishing cream, cleansing water and mist toner. The serum is suitable for all skin types.

Smoothing face serum is a small bottle full of concentrated, specially selected natural ingredients of proven skin rejuvenating effects. Stoechiol, a butterfly lavender extract, acts after only 24 hours as a natural botulinum – it relieves muscle tension, prevents facial lines and smoothes the skin. It stimulates the skin to release beta-endorphins, relaxing the skin and reducing existing wrinkles.

Thanks to Lakesis – an extract of “crystal tears” collected on Pistacia lentiscus which stimulate production of the so-called „youth protein” – the skin regains its density and it looks fuller and firmer. The serum is perfect for skin with acne and acne scars – marula oil is a strong antioxidant and has regenerating and healing effects.

It has anti-wrinkle properties, improves skin tightness and protects it from collagen breakdown. Vegetable squalane contained in our serum has the purpose of preventing moisture loss, it also restores skin tightness and smoothness, visibly reducing wrinkles. The serum is completed by a high quality vitamin C derivate of outstanding durability and effectiveness, which brightens the skin, prevents its discoloration and inhibits sebum oxidation, thus preventing blemishes.

Directions:

Apply 3-4 droplets of the serum on cleansed face, neck and décolletage and gently pat with your fingertips.

Unedited – one drop of the serum and after absorption

Ingredients:

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil, Squalane, Mauritia Flexuosa Fruit Oil, Borago Officinalis Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Tocopherol, Lavandula Stoechas Extract, Pistacia Lentiscus Gum, Parfum, Linalool, Geraniol
First Impressions:

It is so beautifully packaged. In a wooden box and with a ribbon. I’m really impressed. It’s a dropper style serum, with simplistic packaging details. The serum is yellow in colour and smells quite botanical. It’s more like an oil, than your usual thicker serums. It absorbs nicely into the skin. I found that layering your skincare on top of this may be a bit greasy (I do about 8 steps in my skincare routine).
What I like:

  • The packaging

From the box to the bottle, it’s really nice packaging. It shows the efforts they put into their products.

  • Dropper

Dropper serums are very convenient to use. I also enjoy pump serums.

  • Smell

I find the smell to be quite soothing.

  • Ingredients

It has many great ingredients – marula oil, squalene (vegetable), vitamin c and so many more! These are great for fading scars and brightening the skin – some of my skin concerns.
What I don’t like:

  • After application feel

As I mentioned in my first impressions, I did find that the products that I applied after left me feeling a bit greasy, but this can be easily fixed by using less. As it’s quite like an oil, you only need a bit as it absorbs into your skin.
Overall:

Really impressed with this product and the ingredients! I’m always looking to try new oils, especially those targeted towards brightening the complexion and lightening scars. Having the marula oil and vitamin c together saves me having to buy 2 separate products. This makes it so much more convenient because I get both the properties of the oils, all contained in the one product.

Thank you for reading this weeks post, have you tried this product or brand before? What are some of your favourite serums, let me know!

With love,

Irene
