Hello!
I’m finally back! I’ve missed blogging so much. I’ve been so busy with uni and my exams, but that’s all over for now and I’m back to blogging. I’ve had so many blog posts just waiting to be written.
In today’s post I bring you my top ten under $10, because beauty doesn’t have to be unaffordable. There are plenty of great products out there that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, there is an amazing range of drugstore/affordable items that I think could even beat the high end ones. If you’ve tried any of these, let me know your thoughts in the comments! Now lets get into it:
- Nivea Lip Balm
I have been using Nivea lip balms for years – I love it! They’re so affordable, are hydrating and have such a wide variety to suit anyone’s needs. Personally, the hydro care is my favourite. They use to have an olive and lemon one, which was amazing, but I don’t think it’s stocked anymore. If you’re looking for an affordable lip balm, Nivea is the place to go. It retails for around $4, but often goes on sale, where you can even snag it for $2!
2. Essence Make Me Brow Gel
Essence is an amazing brand that sells such great products at an even better price point! This brow gel is only $5.10!! Personally, I think it beats the Gimme Brow by Benefit Cosmetics. I love how it has tiny fibres, and this shade is perfect for me. If you’re ever in Priceline, seriously consider picking this up – I haven’t met a single person that doesn’t like this.
3. Witch Hazel
I know a lot of people don’t like this because of its high alcohol content, but I really like it. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to steer clear of this toner. This was the first toner I ever used and it does an amazing job of cleansing off the excess dirt/makeup that gets left behind after cleansing.
The bottle retails for roughly $6.
4. Models Prefer Blotting
These blotting sheets are ideal for those with oily skin. The packet comes with 50 sheets inside, and they’re great for absorbing any excess oil on your face, especially when you’re on the go!
They retail for $6.
5. Vaseline Body Lotion
I was introduced to this moisturiser from a friend, many years ago and I still love it to this very day. It also comes in cocoa and aloe if you don’t like this one. It’s so moisturising, and I use it after I shave and/or shower and it leave my skin feeling so soft. It also comes in travel and larger sizes. It retails for $5.
6. Palmer’s Cocoa Butter
If you love the smell of cocoa, you’ll love this too. A really nice moisturiser that leaves you smelling like chocolate. This also comes in travel sizes, and retails for $10.
7. Models Prefer Contour Palette
I really recommend this for beginners, it comes in powder form and it blends nicely. I love the highlight shade in this and there’s a nice range of contour shades as well. This retails for $10.
8. Formula 10.0.6. One Smooth Operator
One of the first scrubs I’ve ever used. The smell is pleasant and the packaging is super cute. All the products from Formula 10.0.6. are relatively affordable, a great starter for those with young/teen skin! This retails for $9.
9. The Face Shop Jeju Aloe
I bought this a few weeks ago, and it’s become my daily moisturiser. It’s very light weight, as it’s a gel and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling afterwards. I’m half way through my tub and am considering repurchasing another when it’s finished. It also comes in a tube form, but I thought a tub was more practical. It retails for $8.
10. 16Brand Sheet Masks
These are seriously so affordable and they come in about 10 different types. I picked them up a few weeks ago, as seen in my Mecca haul. They’re soaked in serum, and just make my face feel so smooth and glowy afterwards. They retail for $2.
That’s all I have for you today, I hope you enjoyed this blog post. Feel free to share any other recommendations you may have that are under $10. I know there are sooo many amazing brands and products out there that are under $10, maybe in the near future I’ll do another post on some more affordable goodies.
Until next time xxx
Nivea, vaseline and palmers are my everyday esseentials. But I’ll try the rest too eapecially the mask pack. I am on beauty on budget agenda so spend wisely on things that I really need or like. So this post was definitely worth reading.
