September Favourites

Hi everyone!

I’ve never done a favourites blog post before so I decided why not do one now. Even though it’s not September anymore, I was introduced to these products in September and have since fallen in loveeee with them.

On a side note, did anyone else’s year just fly by, honestly it was so quick. But I’m keen for this month, because it’s my birthday month and I can’t wait to celebrate with my family and friends.

Anyways, I have 5 favourites to mention:

  • Rimmel London #Insta Fix and Go, 2 in 1 primer and setting spray
  • 3ina The Chubby Highlighter in 400
  • Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick in Rich Truffle
  • Benefit Gimme Brow in 3
  • Daiso eyelashes

Rimmel London #Insta Fix and Go, 2 in 1 primer and setting spray:

I have never used a primer spray before and have only been familiar with the UD setting spray, so trying this was a new experience for me. It’s quite affordable and I love it! I spray it to prep my skin, and after I’ve done my makeup to lock it in.

Prior to using this product, I hadn’t read any reviews on it, but afterwards I stumbled on a few opinions from Facebook Beauty groups and Instagram friends – some seem to hate it, some seem to like it, but personally I really like this! It makes my makeup last throughout the day and that’s all that matters!

3ina The Chubby Highlighter in 400:

I’ve never tried a highlighter stick before, frankly, most of my favourites are new products to me. At first I thought the shade wouldn’t suit my skin, but after trying it on, I was blown away by how natural looking it is! I know a lot of girls (and guys) enjoy the blinding highlight, but I love that this gives off a ‘natural glow,’ for those days where you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup it is perfect.

It’s only 5g, but will last you ages!

Mary Kay Gel Semi-Matte Lipstick in Rich Truffle:

I’ve never tried a nude lipstick before, so I was intrigued by the shade of this lipstick. I mostly have reds and pinks…possibly too many shades of reds and pinks too haha. I really like the packaging, it has like a ‘lock’ casing and a ‘window’ at the top to view the shade inside.

I work this to work the other day, and it stayed on for most of the day. By the end of my shift it had faded a bit, but it was hard to tell because when I’m wearing it (without any base makeup/full face) it just blends into my lips because of its natural colour.

Benefit Gimme Brow in 3:

Firstly, I’d like to point out the lid! I find that it’s so much easier to open it, since it’s designed like this haha. The Gimme Brow is just your average tinted brow gel. Nothing really amazing about that, but I’ve included this in my favourites because I’ve been using it to ‘amp’ up my brow game lately and I love it 🙂

However, I think the ‘Make Me Brow’ by Essence is much better than the Gimme Brow. I like how the MMB has tiny fibres, whereas the Gimme Brow doesn’t.

I’d also like to mention that I won this as part of a giveaway, and I think the shade is a bit too light for my liking.

Daiso eyelashes:

I loveeee Daiso lashes! They’re pretty cheap at $2.80 each, and sometimes they even go on sale for half price. They have a wide range of natural ones, as well as very glam ones. There’s bound to be one that suits your occasion.

Well these are all my favourites from this month! What have you been loving lately?

Until next time xxx
