Hi everyone!
Hope all is well with you. I was thinking it was time for another blog post, so I decided to sneak one in before August ended. I swear this was one of the longest months of my life, yet it went so fast. I started university again for semester 2, whilst working 2 days a week and hardly had any time to myself. I met up with some friends and we had dinner one night, it was lovely – one of my friends had moved to a different city so it was nice to catch up with all. Anyways, today I’ll be doing a review on some Rodan + Fields goodies I received from Megan. For those who haven’t heard of this brand before, I’ll give a brief introduction.
Rodan + Fields started in 2002 by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields with the aim of defining the future of anti-aging skincare. In 2006, R + F became the top selling clinical skincare brand in high end US department stores. By 2008, they had grown to over 2000 consultants. In 2010 Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields introduced the AMP MD System to amp up anti-ageing results. By 2015, R + F had expanded to Canada and in 2017, R + F expanded to Australia.

Now to get started, I was sent samples of:
- REDEFINE Daily Cleansing Mask
- REDEFINE Night Renewing Serum
- REDEFINE Lip Renewing Serum
- ENHANCEMENTS Micro-Dermabrasion Paste
REDEFINE Daily Cleansing Mask:
Creamy, Kaolin Clay-based cleansing mask draws impurities from pores and gently exfoliates.
Directions:
On makeup-free skin, wet fingertips and massage a quarter-sized amount onto dry skin, avoiding contact with eyes. Allow product to dry, approximately 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with water.
First Impressions:
It has a really pleasant smell to it. As I smeared it on my skin, I noticed that it had tiny granules in it. It applies super light, similar to a lightweight cream. There’s enough in the packet for two applications.
What I like:
- The smell
As I mentioned before, I really like the smell of this. It reminds me of flowers or a really good smelling shampoo/conditioner haha.
- The ingredients
Kaolin clay is really good for masks because of its impurity drawing power. I’m pretty impressed.
- Drying speed
As someone who gets quite impatient sometimes, I love that this mask can dry within two minutes, rather than 10-15 minutes.
What I don’t like:
- Nothing
I can’t fault this at all!
Overall:
I really enjoyed using this and can’t wait to give it another go! Putting it on was such a breeze, so easy and lightweight to apply + a little goes a long way. Drying time was pretty much instant. It sat on my skin nicely, and tingled the slightest bit, nothing too harsh. Finally, after washing it off, my skin felt soft and really supple. I definitely would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cleansing mask!
REDEFINE Night Renewing Serum:
A proprietary blend of age-defying Retinol and peptides to visibly improve skin texture and brighten skin.
Directions:
After cleansing and toning, twist open the blue capsule and apply over the entire face to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pores for firmer, younger-looking skin.
First Impressions:
This comes in a tiny blue capsule and I don’t think there’s enough to cover my face in one go. It’s just like any of serum – super lightweight and nourishing. It absorbs super fast.
What I like:
- Portability
I like that it comes in a capsule so it’s easy to take with you if you’re travelling.
What I don’t like:
- The size
Whilst it’s great that it’s portable, I find that the small amount of serum inside is definitely not enough to cover my entire face.
Overall:
I would like to try more of this product so I give a proper review, instead of an impromptu one.
REDEFINE Lip Renewing Serum:
Rich in peptides and antioxidants to help reveal and maintain fuller, younger-looking lips.
Directions:
Next, open the silver capsule and apply onto lips to visibly smooth lip texture and reduce appearance of lip wrinkles.
First Impressions:
There’s also enough in here for two applications. They come in a small silver capsule and the serum flows better than the night renewing serum, in my opinion.
What I like:
- Product amount
There’s a lot in here, and less it more.
- Lightweight
This is also super lightweight and absorbs easily
- Long lasting
It stayed on for a few hours after application.
- The smell
This smells like vanilla!
What I don’t like:
- Nothing
I can’t fault this on either!
Overall:
It reminds me of a lipgloss, but not as sticky. It ticks every box on my list, I would highly recommend it to those who are looking for a serum to smooth their lip texture and reduce any lip wrinkles.
ENHANCEMENTS Micro-Dermabrasion Paste:
For brighter, refined complexion. Polishes skin with high-glide sugar-and-salt scrub featuring vitamin C and E.
Directions:
Massage the entire contents of one packet directly onto skin for 30-60 seconds; do not wet skin before use. for gentler exfoliation, use on damp skin and slowly add water to lessen the intensity. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use one packet in place of cleanser 1-3 times per week. Not intended for sensitive skin.
First Impressions:
It has a particular smell to it, but I can’t pin point it. It is made of sugar and salt mainly, and comes in sort of a opaque yellow colour. I applied it on dry skin, if you have sensitive skin it recommends using it on damp skin.
What I like:
- Amount
It says to use an entire packet, but I reckon there’s enough in there for two full face applications.
- Exfoliating
Super exfoliating with the combined powers of the sugar and salt granules.
- After math
My skin felt insanely smooth after using it.
What I don’t like:
- Nothing
I really liked this one! I feel like you can achieve really good results with consistent use.
Overall:
I really liked using this, and there’s enough in the packet for two applications. It leaves your skin feeling really smooth afterwards too, and anything applied after just gets absorbed into your skin easily. Try to avoid the eye and mouth areas of course. It could be used as a really quick pick me up, for when your skin is feeling dull.
Final Thoughts:
I really enjoyed trying out these products and I can see where the hype comes from! I would definitely recommend the micro dermabrasion paste, lip renewing serum and the daily cleansing mask! I can’t find any fault with these ones. The night renewal serum however, didn’t seem to work well with me, mainly due to the size and amount of serum contained within the capsule. So I was a bit disappointed with that.
