New Kids on the Block: Daisy Glo Cosmetics*

Hello everyone!
Can’t believe we’re more than half way through the year already! Time definitely flies and so far 2019 has been a blast. Today I wanted to tell you all about this new Korean Beauty retailer – Daisy Glo Cosmetics. With all orders coming straight from Korea, Daisy Glo stocks a wide range of K-Beauty and I was lucky enough to collaborate with them. In my haul was:

Innisfree Ginger Honey Ampoule:

A moisturizing skin, formulated with innisfrees Gi-ney complex, that protects skin and provides moisturization.

Directions:

Apply over face and neck after cleansing, then gently pat for better absorption.

Ingredients:

WATER / AQUA / EAU, GLYCERIN, PROPANEDIOL, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, BETAINE, HONEY EXTRACT / MEL EXTRACT / EXTRAIT DE MIEL, GLYCERYL POLYMETHACRYLATE, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, PPG-13-DECYLTETRADECETH-24, PHENOXYETHANOL, FRAGRANCE / PARFUM, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, TROMETHAMINE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, ZINGIBER OFFICINALE (GINGER) ROOT EXTRACT, DISODIUM EDTA, SODIUM POLYACRYLATE, LIMNANTHES ALBA (MEADOWFOAM) SEED OIL, BRASSICA NAPUS SEED OIL, TOCOPHEROL

My thoughts:

Love the packaging, it’s so cute both inside and out. I was surprised to see that there’s a stopper on it as well, which is great! It has a nice smell (ginger and honey ofc), but I hate the way it’s designed. It’s designed to be poured out, which can be difficult at times. I would much prefer if it was in a dropper form. I also like that it’s a large size – 200ml.

As for the formula, quite light and just hydrates my skin so well, especially now that it’s winter in Sydney. I use a 10c piece size of product which is enough for my face and neck.

So far I’m enjoying it, I use it before moisturiser and it just gives me a bit more hydration before I moisture and lock it all in.

Innisfree Blueberry Rebalancing Cleanser:

Dense and smooth sub-acidic blueberry flesh foam.

Directions:

Take out and adequate amount on wet hands and lather up.

Gently massage the entire face then rinse off with lukewarm water.

Ingredients:

Water, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate , Glycerin (20,000mg), Diglycerin , Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate , Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate , Vaccinium Angustifolium (Blueberry) Fruit Extract (500mg), Allantoin (100mg), Butylene Glycol , Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil , Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil , Raspberry Ketone , Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Benzyl Glycol , Potassium Cocoyl Glycinate , Potassium Cocoate , Sodium Chloride , Citric Acid , Ethylhexylglycerin , Disodium EDTA , 1,2-Hexanediol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer , Polyquaternium-67 , Sodium Acetate

My thoughts:

Really simple packaging and I wanted to try this after seeing it on IG. It does not smell like blueberries haha and I found it doesn’t lather up immensely either. It’s white in colour and the texture is similar to cream. This cleanser makes a great basic one, it has a pH of 5.5 so it’s not too acidic or anything. I was expecting it to be a big bigger though, it’s only 100ml.

It has some pretty good and natural ingredients, keeping in line with Innisfree’s philosophy.

It’s not drying – I’ve previously tried the Apple Seed Cleanser and found it to a bit drying, but this one is pretty good. It smells kind of citrusy, like a mixture of the oils listed in the ingredients.

Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask – blue:

The volcanic cluster blue mask for sebum control and moisturization. [Contains Jeju volcanic clusters and hyaluronic acid]. The blue mask corrects the skin balance of moisture and oil to cleanly refine the skin while leaving it non-greasy. With its water gel clay texture, it is thinly spread and rapidly dried on the skin.

Directions:

After cleansing, apply an appropriate amount on a dry face and smooth over the problem areas, avoiding the eye and lip areas.

After application, wait 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. (use 1-2 times a week)

Ingredients:

Water,Kaolin,Propanediol,Silica,Bentonite,Glycerin,Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891),Microcrystalline Cellulose,Sodium Hyaluronate,Volcanic Ash,Citrus Unshiu Peel Extract,Camellia Japonica Leaf Extract,Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract,Orchid Extract,Opuntia Coccinellifera Fruit Extract,1,2-Hexanediol,Polysorbate 20,Cellulose Gum,Xanthan Gum,Mica,Glyceryl Caprylate,Dimethicone,Disodium Edta,Ultramarines (Ci 77007)

My thoughts:

It’s 70ml and you only need a bit to cover your face and neck. It’s blue in colour as well and is quite liquidy. It dries very fast to my surprise and isn’t too drying even though it’s a clay mask.

It was really easy to wash off and didn’t leave any colour/staining behind like some masks do. My skin feels softer and looks better after using it.

This has been amazing during this weather, and I try to use it 1-2 times a week but life can be hectic sometimes. I can see this lasting a long time because of how little you need to cover your face.

Peripera Ink Velvet – Beauty Peak Rose:

Dive into the long-wearing lip color with Ink Lasting.
It’s Lacquer-like finish without feeling tacky or drying, creamy velvety texture.

Directions:

Using tip, and apply tint to lip. Apply extra layer for added coverage.

Ingredients:

titanium dioxide (CI 77891), polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate, solvent red 48 (CI 45410), cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 dimethicone, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, dimethicone, butyl acrylate/hydroxypropyl dimethicone acrylate copolymer, red iron oxide (CI 77491), acid blue 9 (CI 42090), red 7 (CI 15850), 1,2-hexanediol, propanediol, caprylyl glycol, illicium verum (anise) fruit extract), purified water, pentylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, red 28 (CI 45410), ethylhexylglycerin, glycerin, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, yellow 5 (CI 19140), methyl trimethicone, PEG/PPG-18/18 dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, silica, mica (CI 77019), methicone, fragrance, silica dimethyl silylate

Top – Wet application, bottom – dry application

My thoughts:

Such cute packaging inside and out! The formula is so smooth and kind of like a liquid lipstick, but a tiny bit thicker in consistency. The colours look different when wet and dry, as you can see above. I prefer applying this with a brush because I get a more precise application compared to just using the wand.

This stays on pretty well and is comfortable on my lips. It wasn’t drying at all and I didn’t need to touch up in the few hours of wear. It’s a really nice colour and yes it does come off a tiny bit when you’re eating (from the middle of your lips), but besides that it stayed on pretty well for the few hours that I wore it.

It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Mask/ It’s Skin Aloe Relaxing Mask/ It’s Skin Green Tea Watery Mask:

Directions:

After thorough cleaning and toner, put the mask on the skin
Relax for 15 to 20 mintues, and remove the mask
Gently tap your skin with your finger tip for residual essence to be absorbed

My thoughts:

I thought I’d just review these in one part, rather than three separate ones. First of all they are super affordable at 1USD each – such a steal!

I think the packaging could be improved – it could be a bit more attractive looking. The mask itself was good, very thin material but packed full of serum with left over serum in the packet. It stuck really well on my face and was a good fit.

Can’t go wrong with these sheet masks – especially given their price as well!

Missha Airy Fit Sheet Mask – Aloe & Honey
:

Naturally derived lightweight mask sheet which is two times thinner than general mask sheet perfectly fits your skin with excellent its adhesive power to offer comfortable application.

The sheet mask with Aloe Extract builds an elastic film and boosts the skin with vitality and moisture.

The sheet mask with Honey is full of vitamins, minerals and essential amino acids, which brightens dry skin from the inside.

Directions:

Apply to clean and dry skin.

Carefully place the mask on your face and gently press.

Leave on for 15-20 minutes, then remove gently and massage remaining ampoule into skin.

You may use the remaining ampoule on your neck and arms as well.

My thoughts:

Just like the masks above, I’ll review these as one. Packaging is super cute, I love the illustrations on them. These masks are even cheaper than the It’s Skin ones, these are an amazing 0.90USD!

At the top of the packaging it tells you whether it’s am ampoule or something like that which I found cute and handy.

These also stuck on really well and a good fit with a good amount of serum too. Love popping one on and just letting it do it’s work as you do yours.

Skin Food Black Sugar Strawberry Mask Wash Off
:

A facial mask that contains mineral-rich organic black sugar, along with strawberry seeds and strawberry seed oil.
It applies smoothly on skin and leaves it fresh, clean, and fragrant with a strawberry scent.

Directions:

After cleansing, massage gently into damp skin, or mix with water/cosmetic water and apply.

Avoid skin around the eyes and lips.

After 10-15 minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.

Ingredients:

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Sucrose, Glycerin, Peg-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Stearalkonium Hectorite, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Lanolin, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Seed, Sorbitan Laurate, Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) Seed Oil, Water, Bht, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Caramel, D&C Red No.33(Ci 17200), Fd&C Yellow No.6(Ci 15985), Fragrance

My thoughts:

I’ve previously tried others in the range but this one is just as amazing! It smells like strawberries, looks like strawberries and even has bits of strawberry seeds! I know some people are concerned with sugar as they’re against physical exfoliants etc, but this acts as a mask and scrub. You start with a wet face and you can add water/toner if you have sensitive skin.

It feels so nice and I loveee how it smells. It smells like actual strawberries, rather than that artificial kind of smell. It leaves my skin feeling soft and doesn’t leave any residue behind as it washes off easily.

Overall:

The shipping time wasn’t too bad, the order was tracked and I was able to see where it was and when, as I anticipated its arrival. Unfortunately it was delivered to the wrong house and I had to go out and find it. The order came with two samples and I would say the prices of the products were pretty affordable as well.

The website was easy to use and appealing. If you sign up you get 10% off your first purchase and you get 3 different delivery options to choose from.

Overall I was pretty pleased with the haul and with the lovely customer service from Daisy Glo. I definitely recommend checking out their website because they have a wide range of skincare and makeup – most websites I’ve come across either focus on one or the other, but Daisy Glo has a pretty good range of makeup and at good prices as well.

That’s all I have for this weeks post, I hope you enjoyed learning about Daisy Glo and learning more about these products. A new blog post will be up next week as usual – it’s a new month which means there’s a new interview so stay tuned for that one! I’d love to know if you’ve tried any of these products before or if you’d like to try them out in the future!

With love,

*products were gifted in exchange for review.
