Is this $85 mask worth it?*

Hello everyone and welcome back to another review!

Today I’ll be talking about the Aus Medic Co Phyto-Nutrient Face Mask with Algae Extract that I received as gratis. I was interested in this brand since they launched at Priceline and there were so many amazing reviews! My manager had recommended the range to me so many times, and countless bloggers have talked about the amazing products in the range. I did a little more research on this brand as I was not very familiar with them at first!

Aus Medic Co is an Australian skincare brand that has created a range of products that are meant to be used in a six step regime. This brand is exclusive to Priceline, and you might not have noticed them at first because they have such a hefty price tag. Their products use peptides which helps your skin produce more collagen to achieve a more youthful look.

Their range includes:

  • Peptide Face Cream Cleanser
  • Intensive Peptide Eye Lift Serum
  • Intensive Peptide Face Lift Serum
  • Illuminating Peptide Moisturiser
  • Anti Pollution Mist With Actives
  • Phyto-Nutrient Face Mask

Now let’s get to the review!

Aus Medic Co.’s Phyto-Nutrient Face Mask is a phyto-nutrient rich formulation designed to clear dead skin cells and surface debris to minimise the appearance of enlarged pores unveiling radiant, glowing and healthy skin.

Utilising natural Papaya enzymes and Algae extract to help soften and break down the skin’s outer layer for a deep pore cleanse, our cooling and soothing formulation with natural Australian extracts which have been carefully chosen to make this mask experience a true revitalisation for your skin.

Directions:

Deeply massage a liberal amount onto face until all microcapsules are released. Relax and leave on for 5-10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Use twice weekly.

First impressions:

It’s green in colour and there are little things in the mask (microcapsules). It applies nicely and doesn’t dry up your skin like some clay masks do. I like the ingredients in it (aloe, kaolin, rosehip oil), they’re pretty moisturising ingredients.

My skin felt fresh and smooth after washing it off.

The good:

  • Good ingredients

Like I mentioned above, it has a great list of ingredients.

  • Isn’t drying

I’ve experienced clay masks in the past that were quite drying on the skin. This doesn’t dry up your skin at all and can be easily washed off.

  • Comes with a spatula

This comes with a little spatula to get the mask out which is hygienic – make sure you wash the spatula after each use!

  • Good size

This is actually quite large – 100g, so it will last quite a few months with regular use!

The bad:

  • Did not see amazing results

I have used this twice a week for a few months now and I am yet to see any long term effects from using it which is a bit disappointing.

Overall:

So, was this mask worth it? I would have to say no. Whilst it was nice to use, I didn’t get much benefits from using it and so I don’t think I would get this again once it runs out. I feel you are better off using one of their other peptide products like the serum or moisturiser.

That’s all I have for this week, have you tried any Aus Medic Co products before, did they work for you?

See you all next week!

With love,
