Sweden, Linköping.. winter season..

Linkoping – 2012 january

Linköping is a city in southern Sweden. Nowadays Linköping is known for its university and its high-technology industry. It offers a variety of activities to people of all ages. Residents and visitors are able to enjoy art, history, concerts, markets, festivals and sporting events.

I got an opportunity to visit Sweden in January 2012 as a part of my work. It was the winter time, and the weather was really cold and gloomy. It was my first time to experiencing a winter season. Coming from a tropical country I was super excited to experience winter and snow 🙂

My visit to Sweden was for four weeks. During that time the temperature was always around 0 C and I was lucky enough to see snow with my own eyes. It was such a lovely sight. Everywhere I look I can see everything covered in snow.. everything is white..

Linkoing has many sights to see. Few of the places I managed to visit during my stay there are, Gamla Linköping (Old Linköping), Air Force Museum and Linköping Cathedral. Also we did not forget to visit Tornby area, which is famous for vast shopping areas with huge retail outlets and immense parking lots.

As it was the winter season we were not able to see how Göta Canal functions.
