Hey everyone,
Welcome to the first post of 2021, I hope everyone has had a great start to the year. I was essentially going to take 2 weeks off blogging for the year but I kind of miss it haha. So here I am, sharing my goals for the new year.
Get a full time job
I have finished my degree and am set to graduate in the following months, depending on how Covid is, because all the graduating ceremonies last year were cancelled and this year will probably be the same, seeing as there are rising cases in Sydney. I hope you’re all staying safe no matter where you are in the world!
Keep up with my fitness
I was going to say ‘lost weight’ but I think focusing on my overall health and fitness is more of a priority, whether I lose weight or not. Everyday since…July 2020, I have been trying to walk 10,000 steps, of course there were times where I didn’t get to go over 10,000 and that’s ok, sometimes I’m tired, busy or don’t feel like it. It’s important to listen to your body. I have a Fitbit which helps me keep track of it + other things like my sleep, my active hours etc. Not to mention, it’s also a watch haha.
Be a better person
Every year I strive to get better and better, I mean who doesn’t want to be a better version of themselves, right?
Improve my finances
That’s it. Increase my financial wealth. There are different ways to go about it, whether it’s saving money from my pay check, making better consumer decisions, not spending recklessly – not that I do, but if I want a snack, I’ll get myself a snack you know. I know many people are doing a lowbuy this year, I feel like I do something similar, but I wouldn’t label it a lowbuy, just because it’s just how I feel towards spending – I don’t buy things I don’t need and I try to shop sales as much as I can. If you really want something, think about whether you need it. Sales come and go, so if you don’t purchase it this time, no worries because there will be other opportunities to purchase in the future!
I think these are my main goals for this year, with getting a full time job as my top priority at the moment. I really want to just focus on myself this year, I’m in my early 20’s and even though things in the world aren’t that great right now, I don’t want to let that stop me from achieving my goals and creating significant milestones in my life!
Definitely one of my more personal/vulnerable posts, I hope writing them on here counts as speaking them into existence haha. That’s it for today’s post, more posts to come for the following weeks as well.
What are your goals for 2021?
With love,
