Brighter Beauty Haul

Hi everyone!

Welcome back to another blog post, today I’ll be showing you my Brighter Beauty haul from a few weeks ago. I purchased these items when they had a sale, and I stocked up on a bunch of sheet masks.

I’ve heard of Brighter Beauty since earlier this year and I knew they stocked a range of sheet masks – which I desperately needed to repurchase.

All these masks were fairly cheap about $3, which is what you’d expect anyways, so I’m pretty pleased with my purchase. Not to mention the samples I received:

  • Benton Cacao Moist and Mild Cream
  • Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel
  • Benton Aloe BHA Skin Toner – I have a review on that here
  • Snail Bee High Content Lotion

The products I purchased were:

I will not be reviewing these products on my blog, you can follow my IG and take a look at the mini reviews I do for my empties.

A’pieu:

This brand has been known to me for a year or two now and I love how cute the packaging is for their sheet masks. They also have other products that I’m yet to try!

The melon sheet mask (first one pictured) is to soothe and nourish the skin. I can’t get over how cute the packaging is! I remember a few years back I didn’t want to use this sheet mask, just because the packaging was so cute. I obviously ended up using it though haha.

The Brighter Beauty website really breaks down the function of the ingredients and lists them in full as well. This was really handy to me when purchasing because this product is new to me and I got to learn more about the benefits and find a mask more suitable for my skin.

The watermelon mask is used to hydrate and moisturise. At this moment, I haven’t opened it yet but I bet it smells amazing! Keep an eye out in my IG stories for the mini review 🙂

The mango mask has  probiotics and yogurt to smooth the skin’s texture. The mango promotes skin elasticity and vitality, not to mention it is a brightening mask.

I recently used the sweet peach mask and the fit was perfect! It didn’t smell too sweet or intoxicating and I very much enjoyed it. The essence is enriched with peach and yogurt to make skin soft and smooth.

Cosmo Monster:

This brand is new to me and I just had to get it for the packaging! It contains the goodness of yogurt and fermentation extracts to replenish moisture, brighten and bring vitality to tired skin while providing nutrients to the skin. Following ancient customs of bathing in milk and fermented yogurt to maintain young and beautiful skin, this mask helps to bathe your face in a specially formulated yogurt/fermentation extract blended with pumpkin and ginseng.

I have since used this mask and I’m not sure if I really enjoyed it. It was very big and there wasn’t enough serum in it.

Etude House:

I forgot to include the hyaluronic acid one with the rest..whoops.

I’ve known Etude House for a long time but this was the first time I have purchased their sheet masks. I will not review every single one as there is a lot and I haven’t tried them all yet.

The aloe vera mask contains Aloe which moisturises dry and irritated skin, keeping your complexion comfortable and healthy. This sheet mask is a Moist Water Type Essence that is absorbed lightly and refreshes your skin.

The artemisia mask was something I hadn’t heard of or used before. It contains the extract of Artemisia that soothes and clears skin. The Ampoule type essence highly moisturises.

The cherry blossom mask contains the extract of Cherry Blossom which has rich anti-oxidant levels and soothing properties. Rich in essential fatty acids, it repairs the skins natural barriers to promote a smooth, supple skin. This mask contains an Ampoule type essence that highly moisturises.

The green tea mask contains Green Tea which contains many potent anti-oxidants beneficial to skin to help with signs of aging and soothe skin. This sheet mask is a Moist Water Type Essence that is light and refreshes your skin.

The hyaluronic acid mask contains Hyaluronic Acid which is a potent hydrating ingredient that keeps skin plump and hydrated. Hyaluronic acid keeps collagen synthesis up, as well as retaining skin moisture contributing to anti aging benefits. This sheet mask contains an Ampoule Type Essence that highly mosturises skin.

The olive mask contains Olive Oil that forms a light barrier over skin to moisturise. This sheet mask is a rich Creamy Oil Essence that is highly nourishing and moisturising.

The pomegranate mask contains Pomegranate to vitalise skin and give skin a glow.
This sheet mask contains an Ampoule Type Essence that highly mosturises skin.

The strawberry mask contains Strawberry Extract and Niacinamide to provide brightness, even tone, moisture and clarity to skin. The ampoule type essence absorbs mildy and provides a strong moisturising effect.

Holika Holika:

I think this was the first thing I’ve tried from the brand as well but I’ve known it for a while now. This was on sale ($2) so I bought it and found that it expired quite quickly so I used it ASAP.

This Holika Holika Juicy Blueberry Sheet mask soothes skin while improving its natural, radiating glow. Suitable for all skin types seeking to reduce oily, acne-stricken skin.

Overall, I was pretty pleased with my shopping experience on Brighter Beauty and with my haul. They also do deals from time to time which means discounts $$$. Would definitely recommend if you’re in Australia and you want to stock up on sheet masks because I reckon they have the most extensive range that I’ve seen in Australia.

**Edit

I originally had bought a jade roller from them but unfortunately it broke very quickly. I had read their returns policy and it didn’t look likely that I’d get a refund but it was worth a try.

I sent an email to them and they offered a full refund or store credit + $10, I went with the full refund and the money came back to me the next day. They let me know that the returns policy was written when they only stocked sheet masks (as they now stock other k-beauty items) and they were going to update it.

I went to check the returns policy and it was not to be found – because they were editing it!

I am very impressed with how they took action to correct their website and how they apologised and honoured my refund. I will definitely shop from them again.

Thanks for reading this week’s blog post, there’ll be a new one up next week as usual! What are some of your favourite websites to buy your beauty products from?

With love,

Irene

  1. Whoa this is holy grail information on skin masks, thank you. I’m slowly getting into these wonderful products. How funny is the probiotic one? It’s a mini Yakult! 😀 I look forward to seeing your posts on this on IG 🙂 P.S I’ve only ever shopped on Beauty Bay and browsed iHerb. I don’t do a lot of online shopping.

    1. Thanks for reading! All the packaging is so cute. I’ve heard that beauty bay has changed some things now ie got rid of the student discount and I’ve seen a lot of people in beauty groups have negative thoughts about it so I’m not too sure if I’ll shop from them. I used to shop off iherb as well! But since they imposed the tax for Australian orders I’ve mainly been shopping from other Australian businesses ☺️

      1. Oh man, that’s a bummer. It has been years since I bought off them though. So that’s a real shame this sites aren’t as good as they once were 😦 It’s definitely good to support Australian business though 😀
