Hello again!
This was requested a few months back and it’s finally here! Today’s blog post will be discussing The Face Shop Lipstick Kits* that are only available as a PR package, and not sold in stores, so I’m incredibly grateful for this.
In this kit, there are two kinds of lipsticks – Velvet & Glossy.
The velvet shades I received were:
- Solar Beige
- Rose Pink
- Be My Pink
- London Red
- Darjeeling Red
- Cassis Red
The glossy shades I received were:
- Punch Orange
- Gemstone Coral
- Lily Pink
- Rococo Pink
- New York Red
- Berry Up Red
Swatches of the velvet shades:
I really liked the formula of these and the shade range is really nice. But unfortunately, I don’t suit all the shades.
My favourite shades are:
- Rose Pink – I keep this in my wallet/handbag at all times. It’s my favourite shade out of all the lipsticks. It looks pretty natural and it lasts quite a bit.
- London Red – I love red shades, they suit me the best. I find this shade looks best on a full face of makeup as it’s quite bold on its own.
- Darjeeling Red – Another red, but it’s different. It’s deeper than the previous shade. I find this is too bold for a natural look too, so I usually dab it on.
- Cassis Red – An even deeper red, this shade is amazing. I’ve never come across a shade like this, and now it’s in my collection! I don’t wear this as often as I’d like, but it’s still one of my favourite shades.
Swatches of the glossy shades:
I was so disappointed that I don’t suit all these shades as well. I don’t use these as often as the velvet shades. But I still like these.
My favourite shades are:
- New York Red – This is such a playful colour! I think it’s really cute for Spring
- Berry Up Red – It’s like a deep pink-red kind of colour. I love the formula of these glossy lipsticks, they just glide onto the lips and the colour lasts but you may need to reapply after eating/drinking.
Overall, I’m so grateful for being able to try these. I’ve liked The Face Shop products for so long and this was my first time trying their makeup products and I was pretty impressed. If you’ve tried anything from The Face Shop before, I’d love to know your thoughts!
As always with love,
Irene
