Hello my good friends!
It’s been a short while – but I’m currently on break from work so I have time to smash out some content and of course some blog posts. I really do miss writing blog posts and reviewing different things for you all, but I just get so busy with work and life and majority of my job is writing/typing anyways so I don’t really feel like writing on my days off haha.
Anyways, I’ve been meaning to share this blog post with you for some time, but a few months back I did my first Adore Beauty haul – yep, it took me this long to make one but they had a few things that I wanted that were on sale! It’s a fairly small haul, but I got what I wanted so I’m happy. Without further ado, here they are!
Sachajuan Normal Hair Conditioner
I’ve been using one of the Sachajuan Shampoos for a few months now (the scalp one) and I love it! I’ve been using a supermarket conditioner for a while and over time, I found that it has made my hair super dry and just frizzy AF. I was going to try a different brand of conditioner, but decided to stick with Sachajuan.
I opted for the Normal Hair Conditioner after reading a few reviews about it that came highly recommended. I have been using it for a few weeks now and it’s pretty good! It’s much better than the supermarket conditioner that I was using (not to say supermarket hair care is bad, but it just doesn’t work for my hair anymore) and I don’t experience any issues with using this…however, my only criticism is the scent! It reminds me of a rose scented perfume someone’s grandma would wear – not my ideal scent, but that’s really the only fault I have with it.
Eleven Smooth & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
Continuing on from my supermarket hair care debacle, I have noticed I’ve been experiencing a lot of frizz. Every time I go to the office, I check my hair and it’s just one big unruly puff. So I’ve been trying to manage that and I wanted to pick up a hair serum or hair oil to help. I was previously using one from Daily Naturals (their Argan Oil treatment) it was ok, but sometimes it made my hair greasy.
The Eleven Serum says it can be applied to dry hair or you can apply onto towel dried hair and blow dry. I find when I apply it onto my hair and blow dry, it’s not as frizzy the next day. I don’t think I’m a big fan of using it on dry hair, but I might continue giving it a few more goes before I rule it out.
Overall, I probably need to try this out some more before I decide on whether it’s for me or not. If you experience with frizz, how do you manage it?
Aesop Post-Shave Lotion
This is one of the two samples I received and I’m actually yet to open it! I’m a bit hit or miss with Aesop products to be honest. Sometimes I find the scents to be very overpowering, other times, the products are just ok.
If you’ve tried this, let me know if you like it!
Kora Organics Berry Bright Vitamin C Eye Cream
The second sample I received was this one from Kora Organics. It was a pretty generous sample since you don’t need a lot for eye creams. Can’t really say I liked this one, I found it didn’t absorb easily and I wasn’t too fond on the scent. I don’t think I’ve tried anything from Kora Organics and I don’t really see it as a brand I would go towards – their products don’t really excite me.
Of course I received a Tim Tam with my order as well. You bet I ate that as soon as I opened my package.
That’s all folks! A very small haul, but decent haul. Would I buy from Adore Beauty again? Maybe. It will depend on the sales, I just shop where the biggest savings are haha. I have noticed that they have expanded their range over the past few years, which is good! Overall, it was a good shopping experience!
What have you purchased recently?
With love,
