Hi everyone!
A few months back I did a beauty exchange and I wanted to show you all what I received. I received a mix of hair care, skincare and makeup.
Hair care:
- Ellips Hair Vitamins
- Ellips Vitamin Hair Mask – Nutri Colour
- Ellips Vitamin Hair Mask – Volume Miracle
Ellips Hair Vitamins
These are like little capsules filled with treatment. You cut one open and dispense the treatment into your hair whilst avoiding the scalp. I found that one capsule is enough for one use. I wasn’t very fond of the smell but I did like how it felt on my hair.
Ellips Vitamin Hair Mask – Nutri Colour
I have not used this one yet but it’s a hair mask specifically designed for coloured hair.
Ellips Vitamin Hair Mask – Volume Miracle
Same as above, but this helps give your hair more volume.
Makeup:
- Emina Cream Blush – Peach
- Pixy Lip Color Conditioner – Orange
- Focallure Color Mix – H03 Lunch Money
- Emina Agent of Brow – Brown
- Emina My Favourite Things Lip Color Balm – Socialite Queen
- Emina Oh So Kissable Lipstick – 10 Pink Berry
Emina Cream Blush – Peach
As the name suggests this is a cream blush. Obviously I dispensed too much haha, but I just wanted to give you an idea of what it was like. I’ve never used a cream blush before but I guess less really is more in this case. The colour is really nice once it’s dried.
Pixy Lip Color Conditioner – Orange
Despite being called orange, this comes off as a sheer pink. Unfortunately it cracked in half and I can’t use it anymore 😦
Focallure Color Mix – H03 Lunch Money
At first I thought this was a highlighter then I was disappointed because it wasn’t what I expected, but it’s actually an eyeshadow! It’s a really nice golden colour, I think it’d be good for putting on the inner corners.
Emina Agent of Brow – Brown
Just like any other eyebrow pencil, but this doesn’t have a spoolie or a sharpener on the other side. It’s quite soft and the pigment is good, I just wish it was in a darker brown because that’s more suited towards my hair colour.
Emina My Favourite Things Lip Color Balm – Socialite Queen
This is a coloured lip balm and the colour is so nice! It’s not totally suitable for my skin tone but I hope to make it work.
Emina Oh So Kissable Lipstick – 10 Pink Berry
Despite having pink in its name, it comes off as red. It’s not a very bold red, but it’s quite close. A really nice colour overall and comes in such a cute, small size!
Skincare:
- Emina Sun Protection SPF 30 PA+++
- Newcell Eye Serum Roll On Eye Expert
- Wardah Witch Hazel Purifying Moisturiser Gel
- Emina Dirt Less Makeup Remover
- Mustika Ratu Air Sari Mawar Putih White Rose Toner
- Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub
Emina Sun Protection SPF 30 PA+++
This is a really popular sunscreen from what Halizah has told me. I really like it as well! It isn’t greasy and applies very nicely.
Newcell Eye Serum Roll On Eye Expert
This is a roll on eye serum and I’ve been using it quite a lot lately and I really like it! It’s very soothing and I noticed a difference within one day of usage. It makes my under eyes look and feel more hydrated, not to mention I noticed it did help brighten my under eyes. I have a terrible sleeping pattern so you can imagine the dark under eyes I have 😦
Wardah Witch Hazel Purifying Moisturiser Gel
I loveee this! I wish it came in a bigger size honestly. It’s a gel moisturiser so it’s quite running and lightweight. It smells amazing and it doesn’t make my skin feel greasy. It’s also very moisturising and I find that I don’t need a lot of this product either.
Emina Dirt Less Makeup Remover
I have not used this yet because I have another make up remover open at the moment, but it reminds me of micellar water.
Mustika Ratu Air Sari Mawar Putih White Rose Toner
I’ve never come across a white rose toner so I was surprised to see this! It’s used alone or added into powder masks to create a paste.
Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub
I have heard so many good things about this brand and product! I haven’t opened this one yet either, but I’m very excited to try it 🙂
Skincare part 2:
- Mustika Ratu Tomato Mask
- Mustika Ratu Bengkoang Roots Mask
- Mustika Ratu Indah Warni Anti Acne Mask
- Ovale Facial Mask – Whitening
- Mustika Ratu Face Peeling Gel – Lemon
- Smooto Mask
Mustika Ratu Tomato Mask
This and the following two are powder masks that you mix with the white rose toner from above. I haven’t tried this one yet but I’m also excited to use it!
Mustika Ratu Bengkoang Roots Mask
This is the number one best seller and great for brightening the skin. I had a bit of trouble with this in getting the ratios right. It wasn’t too bad but I’m not sure if I got it right texture wise because I have never used it before.
Mustika Ratu Indah Warni Anti Acne Mask
I also haven’t used this one yet but let’s hope I get the ratios right!
Ovale Facial Mask – Whitening
I haven’t used this yet but you put the beads into water and create a mask then wash off as normal. It’s meant to help with whitening the skin.
Mustika Ratu Face Peeling Gel – Lemon
This is a peeling gel that helps lighten the skin tone, as well as moisturise and soften the skin.
Smooto Mask
There’s no English or translation that was made available to me but apparently it’s hydrating and smells nice. I’m guessing it’s some sort of gel scrub.
That’s all I have for today’s post, I hope you enjoyed learning about products from a different country – I know I did! I can’t wait to use them all!
Thanks to Halizah (@lixzhaw) for sending me these! Have you ever participated in a beauty exchange or something similar?
With love,
Irene
Very cool read, I haven’t ever participated in one but I like the idea of beauty exchanges! It’s so interesting to see cosmetics and skincare from all around the globe. I have tried the Himalaya Neem face cleanser before and from memory, I liked it. Enjoy using your products 🙂 x
