A Month of Skincare

Hello and welcome back to another blog post!

I am on uni break now so I am hoping to smash out a bunch of blog posts, before I head back and finish my last unit for my degree – so excited! Anyways, as promised, I am going to share a bunch of skincare I have been using/bought this month. I did a Korean beauty haul earlier in the month, I recently posted about another Korean beauty haul, click here to read it, I received some PR samples, and I hit Priceline for their recent skincare sale. That being said, a lot of money was spent, but for a good cause right? Skincare is for life!

I’ll start off with the products in my routine:

Innisfree Green Barley Peeling Toner

I bought this earlier in the year as a back up for when I ran out of my toner at the time. I’m loving it so far, it’s a gentle exfoliating toner and it can be used everyday. I love that it gently exfoliates the dead skin cells from my hormonal break outs, helping it clear faster. It’s decently priced for the amount of product you get as well. I purchased from the Innisfree store in my city.

Tribe Skincare Peachy Rose Hydrating Spritz*

I received this PR sample and it claims to help with redness. It has a subtle scent to it and I use it after my toner, just to add some moisture to my face, before I continue with my skincare routine. Not sure if it has helped with my redness – I don’t have a lot, just sometimes I get red after a hot shower, or when I’m in a hot environment. My redness is only temporary.

Some By Mi Miracle Serum

I have previously used this and loved it, it helped clear my skin sooo much! I used it with the toner at the time, and it was such a game changer! I have repurchased it this month just because I am having a few hormonal break outs and that’s not fun for anyone. I also purchased the Miracle Spot Cream, which I will detail below!

Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Creme

Dare I admit this was a bit of an ‘Instagram purchase’, I did a poll on IG asking whether this one or the Origins one was better. I don’t remember who won, but the Sephora sale was around at the time, so I thought I’d get this and save a few bucks, since Mecca doesn’t do discounts… So far, I haven’t seen major results, because I haven’t been using it consistently. My eyes have been quite irritated this month, so I have been using a LRP eye cream just to help soothe my eyes and the dryness, but I will keep you guys posted of my opinions on this once I get more use out of it!

Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence

Kind of picked this up on a whim, it helps with a lot – redness, brightening, wrinkles, reduce acne scars. I’ve also been using this on and off because I depend on the PKY Essense Toner more. It is a nice gel texture and absorbs into the skin nicely. Will keep you posted about this one as well!

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner

I love this so much, and it’s my second bottle! Works wonders in adding hydration to the skin, and has been very helpful this winter. I love layering it on for extra moisture, but sometimes just 1-2 layers is enough because I don’t have to wait for it to absorb. Would highly recommend this for dry skin, I love the brand as well because they make products for those with sensitive skin and you should check them out if that sounds like you!

Some By Mi Super Miracle Spot Cream

After loving the toner and serum I decided to pick this up for my pesky break outs. I am definitely not disappointed. The SBM Miracle line, really is a miracle. I used this at night recently, for about 2-3 days and I noticed it reduced the bumpiness of my break outs and I am so impressed. I am keen to keep using it and let you all know of my progress!

Now onto other products:

Cosrx Acne Pimple Patch

You already know I love this and I never buy enough so I bought two other pimple patches to try out as well – I will probably be doing a blog post on these, but I just need more pimples to test them out on (never thought I’d say that). This product was my pathway into pimple patches, I have tried one other brand that I did like – Avarelle Cosmetics. However, besides that one brand, I keep coming back to Cosrx, all the other brands I’ve tried in the past just did not work as well as Cosrx. A forever purchase as long as I keep breaking out haha.

SBM Clear Spot Patch

A new to me product, but it’s from SBM so I have high hopes for this one. It’s pretty affordable, it was a toss up between trying this one and the Mizon one (I’ll get it next time). For the time being, I think I’m set with enough pimple patches haha. I have not tried this yet, will keep you posted!

VT Spot Patch

Also a new to me product, there are two sizes in this packet and it is a little pricier than the others, but there’s more inside. I only just discovered this brand, and I will be purchasing more from them because they look pretty good. They create their products with cica, which is really good for repairing the skin. As before, will keep you posted!

The Jojoba Company Jojoba Oil

This was the only product I picked up in the sale. The other product I wanted was out of stock so I guess I saved some money haha. I have been eyeing this for so long and I have been patiently waiting for it to be on sale. I am about to finish my Biossance Squalane Oil, and needed a replacement. I love this because it has so many amazing properties and I can use it for the face and body! I haven’t opened it just yet, I will be putting it in storage until I need it. As you can tell, I have a lot of skincare going on at the moment.

Tough Hands*

I received this PR sample and it is amazing. I am almost finished with this tube and it has helped me immensely. If you’ve been following me on IG you would have seen my little progress shots along the way. This is no joke and has helped my hands heal so much. They used to be quite dry and flaking from a destroyed skin barrier, but they’re much better now thanks to this! Would repurchase it in the future, but for the mean time, I will be using up my other hand creams in my storage.

And lastly,

Secret Key Black Out Pore Clean Remover

I forgot to take this out of the original photo haha, and I didn’t take an individual picture of it. I got it as a free gift with purchase and I haven’t tried it yet. I’ve read a few reviews about it and they’re like a hit or miss. I need to put this in my storage as I don’t need it at the moment – just too much skincare going on my face these days haha. If you’ve tried this, let me know how you went.

And thus ends a month of skincare, let me know what goods you have purchased this month, or if you’ve tried any of the products that I’ve mentioned!

A new blog post will be up next week, see you then!

With love,
