Hello beauties!
I’m back with another review! Hope you’ve all been enjoying the holiday season. I’m still overseas, it seems like I’ve been here forever! But I’ll be back in Australia next week. Today, I’ll be reviewing the Apple Smoothie Peeling Gel from Mizon, it’s available at Mecca Maxima in store. You can get it from other websites online, but I don’t have the links to them (sorry!).
I purchased this because I saw it online and I was looking for more Korean beauty products to try. Mizon is a well renowned brand with great reviews, so I had to try something from the brand! I picked up this peeling gel and was really intrigued by what it does.
It is an exfoliant, where you rub the product onto your skin and dead skin cells start to ball up. The little balls are a mixture of your dead skin cells and cellulose coming together.
For 120ml, it costs $15, which is quite affordable in my opinion.
Description:
“A must-have skin care staple for dull, congested and delicate skin, this innovative resurfacing treatment acts to buff away dulling dead skin cells and reveal a smooth, radiant complexion. A skin care ‘smoothie’ of goodness, this formulation is blended with apple cellulose to banish dead surface cells, sebum and pollutants, papaya fruit enzymes to deeply cleanse inside pores to prevent breakouts and lemon, orange and bilberry fruit extracts to tone and tighten. Free from potentially irritating granules, this silky smooth gel glides over skin and rubs off in a ‘pilling’ action.”
Directions:
“Apply all over cleansed face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave for a minute before gently massaging with fingertips. Rinse thoroughly with warm water, pat dry and follow with skin care regime.”

First Impressions:
I really liked the bright packaging. It’s a really nice green, similar to a Granny Smith apple kind of colour!
The first time I used it I was really excited, but found that hardly anything ‘balled up’. So I tried using a bit more product and I started to see some balling. It was so cool!
The product After rubbing the product in – you can see little balls
Overall:
I have been using this once a week or once a fortnight, because I have been using the Skinfood Black Sugar Wash Off Mask as my physical exfoliant. I think this product is a bit of a fun gimmick when you see the little balls! Some might be grossed out and be turned off from the product, but I guess it can be a fun way to exfoliate for some. The feeling you get from seeing the balled up product, is similar to that feeling you get when you see what’s on your pore strip haha!
I do like this product, but I get very few results – I get very few balls. I think I’m going to stick with my sugar scrub for now 🙂
